Enity launches 3rd generation Carbon Accounting
One-click compliance and the next level of climate documentation are now a reality
Enity has just launched the third generation of the carbon accounting module in Enity EMS. With this version, Enity makes it even easier for companies to gain precise insights into their CO₂ footprint. Directly within Enity EMS, users can now – with a single click – generate an up-to-date climate report that meets current regulations and standards. We call it "one-click compliance" – a new approach where advanced reporting becomes accessible, user-friendly, and fully integrated into daily operations.
Behind the new carbon accounting module is a brand-new engine, advanced emissions factor management, and a dedicated section for CSRD reporting. This solution sets a new standard for climate documentation. The Carbon Accounting module is part of the EMS solution and is included in the license for all existing Enity customers – regardless of their service level.
Carbon accounting is often technical, complex, and time-consuming. With this version, we’ve simplified something highly complex and created an ambitious yet groundbreakingly simple model for handling and documenting emissions. A user-friendly solution that combines precision with automation, built to meet today’s and tomorrow’s demands for documentation, reporting, and climate responsibility.
Companies and public institutions face increasing requirements for reporting and control over their sustainability efforts. Our goal is to make it easy to navigate the regulatory landscape, set valid climate targets – and document progress effectively. Simply, accurately, and in real time.
“The day will come when we are not only measured in kWh and m³, but in CO₂ – and the climate impact of our resource use. That’s why, from the very beginning – back in 2017 when we developed the first generation – we focused on turning consumption data into climate data and CO₂ emissions in a smart and automated way, organized according to the GHG protocol scopes 1, 2 and 3. Today, we realize the vision of one-click compliance: A new, automated carbon account/report structured according to CSRD requirements, generated directly in the system – and drastically reducing the administrative burden.”

A robust foundation for the future
With this version, we’ve launched a robust and future-proof tool that supports both compliance and the ability to work with green targets and KPIs.
“We’ve created a solution that is both durable and flexible – ready to follow the development of regulation and climate standards,” says Julie Strandesen Hooge, Product Manager for Carbon Accounting in Enity EMS. “This applies both to the management of emission factors and our ability to support emerging requirements such as offsets, biogenic emissions, and non-Kyoto gases.”
Highlights of the 3rd generation Carbon Accounting module
- Advanced emissions management
Multiple scope values per meter – with scope 1, 2, and 3 differentiations. - Support for new emission types
CO₂ credits, avoided emissions, biogenic emissions, and other emissions beyond the GHG protocol. - Geographically differentiated emission factors
Region-specific factors for more accurate calculations. - Automated CSRD reporting
New reporting formats that automatically link EMS data to climate reporting and generate structured reports for CSRD. - Open API integration
Supports data sources such as waste systems, fleet management, building automation (CTS), and many more – all in one place.
With this launch, Enity demonstrates how energy and resource data, CO₂, and financial data can be unified – in one system, with one method.
